Katipunero Kevin Nadal
Kevin Nadal is currently an academic guidance counselor and Asian Pacific Islander advisor in the Office of Supportive Services at Michigan State University. A native of California, he has always been involved in the Pilipino American, APA, and ethnic minority communities, serving as a student leader, community organizer, performance artist, and pinoy activist. With degrees in Psychology and Political Science, Kevin is currently pursuing graduate studies in Counseling Psychology at Michigan State, with research interests in Pilipino American identity development. He serves as the founding program director of the Pilipino American Retention and Education (PARE) initiative at MSU, one of the first Pilipino retention programs in the Midwest. He is the club advisor of the Philippine American Student Society (PASS) and is also co-instructing the first Pilipino American Studies course at Michigan State. Because Kevin is a person who sincerely cares about his Pilipino community, he has served as a mentor and kuya to all of the Pilipino students he has come across.
